Society of the Cincinnati Cobra
Join Cincinnati business leaders, philanthropists and community activists in raising funds to design, build and erect a memorial statue of Ezzard Charles in the West End’s Laurel Park. Society of the Cincinnati Cobra is an online and onsite community of fans, supporters and advocates reigniting the Ezzard Charles story. Become a Society of the Cincinnati Cobra member and help re-introduce Ezz’s life lessons to 21st-century audiences. Society of the Cincinnati Cobra
is an online and onsite community of fans, supporters and advocates reigniting the Ezzard Charles story and re-introducing his life lessons to 21st Century audiences. We are working together with Cincinnati community leaders planning a public sculpture of boxer Ezzard Charles in a West End green space adjacent to the street that bears Charles’ name. Public announcements and celebrations are planned for summer 2017. In preparation for a call to action in support of the sculpture, the Ezzard Charles team is working on different onsite/offsite events as well as a refreshed website to build a community around the campaign.
